Adam was born in Houston, Texas. He was admitted to the Bar in 1991 and is licensed to practice in all Texas State Courts, and the Southern District of Texas.

Recently, he was one of the first to file a lawsuit for the Guidant Defibrilator litigation in the State of Texas.
